HIV/AID’s is a serious health concern in Kenya. volunteering under this program is as rewarding as it is challenging. The prospective volunteer will be able to work in units of health workers that provide HIV testing , counselling educating young people in the community and making visits to the ailing. The volunteer in this programme will be working in clinics, health centres and with support groups amongst the communities. This will demand a lot of understanding from the volunteers as most of the afflicted are children. Provision of ARV’s medicine is done by the Kenyan government and you will be able to help in distribution too. During orientation you will be offered guidance and moral support in how to carry out your activities.
